I think what raises the ire of so many of the traditionalist regarding mugs is that the word 'kilt' has come to pretty much apply to any skirt worn on a man in a masculine way, or any mug.
Our society taking the word 'kilt' and applying it to ALL of our various skirts/mugs is pretty much what WON the War of the Tyranny of Trousers for us all. Society was not comfortable with men in skirts, but kilts, well, kilts are different. Since society was, indeed, comfortable with men in kilts it simply solved the problem of men in skirts by calling all skirts on men kilts. And THIS pretty much pleased everyone but the the Traditionalists and the Cross Dressers.
There exists now a bit of a truce between Modernists and Traditionalists ... but it has been harder on the Traditionalists, they were forced to give up their sole use of the word 'kilt', and at this writing I dare say that there are still those who have not given up that fight. But it's too late now. Folks, a man in a mug is, by current societal standards, wearing a kilt right up to the point that it turns to cross dressing. After that it is a skirt in no small part due to the fact that the Cross Dressers don't want their skirts to be called kilts, it sort of defeats their purpose. LOL!
As for pulling the plug on this forum, NEVER!! This remains the one truly neutral place where all views are given equal weight, where nobody's posts are self censured by the fear of moderators, the one place where we can ALL still come together in unity against the trousered masses. I stand with all other Bravehearts in my deep respect for WDP and my eternal appreciation for his giving us this wonderful place.
Kilt ON!
