I think my previous post from Bravehearts & Freestylers says it all:Aye:
I was not active in the mid to late 90s wearing kilts or skirts.
So I do not have a recollection of the 'Flaming kilts vs skirts'
wars; conflicts or whatever you choose to call them.
I have read several posts of conflicts with other 'Kilted' forums
treating members with a version of the 'Spanish Inquisition'!
At this time things have leveled off and posters generally go
where they are welcomed.
I participate in several forums under my name r.m.anderson and
have not read of any of the aforemention problems in the recent
past.
Everything now seems to have a peaceable co-existience and the MUG
wearers beit kilts or skirts are just going about their pursuits
without conflict.To summarize: "TO EACH HIS OWN AND THE DEVIL FOR US ALL"!
I think that if we criticize each other neither of our MUG positions
will come to fruit and the kilt/skirt detractors will have made
a point that it was just a passing fancy fading into the dust.
The fashion world certainly has room enough for all types of clothing
worn by either sex. Some designs are more suited to wear by some
people rather than others. The ability to say what co-ordinates best
with kilts or skirts is open to discussion. One can make a bold
statement with wearing things not commonly matched or synced with
an ensemble or just go with the flow and wear items co-ordinated as
a standard practice.Hope that this forum although it has had limited participation in the
past few months remains as a source to help members make decisions
about buying; wearing and alterations to kilts and accessories to
include kilted skirts. There is room for all of us to contribute and
share our views.Thanks WDP for maintaining a civil middle of the road forum for all of us !
