Ron Paul also has lobbyists, so some of his actions are based on that. Besides lobbyists are only half the problem. Lobbyists started out as individuals trying to get the man they elected to do what they elected him for and to get what the people they represented needed. It has spiraled out of control I agree. The members of gov't are ALSO to blame. They dont have to bend to the lobbyists wants and needs. They only do so to remain in power. Which to me sounds like every other gov't type that America doesn't like. I don't know what spending I would cut or increase. Probably the first thing i would do is start a congressional wage cap. Every year one of the first things voted on is an increase in their pay. The main thing I would do is raise salaries for teachers, and civil servants. They are the foundation of our modern society and many can barely live on what they get paid. I know my mother works the school system, she barely makes anything. These people are the reason we have doctors, lawyers, congress men, Presidents, engineers who make millions.
