I bought a copy of the firt edition of "The Art of Kilt Making".
It is the most in depth, detailed, and exactil complete book on kiltmaking you could ever want.
Barb really and truly knows kiltmaking backwards, forwrds, inside-out,up and down. She is a real artist.
My only criticism of the book is that one must e able to speak "Tailor" to undeerstand what she is talking about half the time. I am not a tailor, if it ain't leather and sewn with a double needle saddle-stitch, I don't know how to do it. i don't speak "Tailor" and neither did my ex-wife, an experienced home seamstress. So, neither of us could make heads or tailes of the books instructions.
If you can understand "Tailor Talk," the book will be a positive goldmine of information. If you don't speak "Tailor," it will drive you to drink. (Not that is necessarily a bad thing mind ye. :-{p>~~
