If you are in the USA, StillWaters beats their prices rather badly.
Their Thrifty Kilts start at $28.95. I really don't recommend these kilts. They are alright around the house, but they don't look good enough for going out and about in my opinion. I have one, but it is relegated to wear around the house or walking the dogs late at night.
StillWaters also offer their Standard Model for prices starting around $70.00. This is an acrylic kilt that has long been the standard entry level kilt. There are a few things about the Standard that needs attention, but directions for upgrade are readily available. The Economy Model is another acrylic kilt with a price starting under $40.00.
Both the Economy and Standard Models use three strap closure while the Thrifty uses velcro.
In addition to their Thrifty and Standard Models, StillWaters also offers a Heavyweight Model in heavyweight wool with a starting price of around $120.00 (which is 59.89 Pounds Sterling). The StillWaters Heavyweight is probably the very best budget priced traditionally styled kilt on the market. I wish they were available in my size.
As an added advantage, StillWaters generally ships within a day or two of the order arriving, and there are no VAT taxes, import duties, and the shipping is much less expensive.
