Man, Doc, that just about confirms everything you, I and other kiltmen here have said for along time. My brother-in-law, born and raised in Scotland, told me years ago that I knew a damned site more about Scottish Heritage than he did, amazing.
Of course, it's what I call the Alamo Effect: I was raised in San Antonio, Texas, and was always amazed at how many folks who had been born there had never actually vistited the Alamo ... not being originally from San Antonio I thought it was the coolest thing the city had to offer.
Kilts really are not just for Scots anymore, in fact if it wasn't for us 'descendants' the kilt would be relegated to just those few Scots who put it on for 'special' occasions, and maybe just a few more Scots who simply refuse to let it die.
Kilt ON!
