Hi, I live in Derby, UK.
I am a chartered electrical engineer working for Bombardier, which has a superb diversity policy:
By harnessing the differences we all have we will create a productive environment in which everybody feels valued. Their talents are fully utilised and organisational goals are met.
It goes on to say ....there are no distinctions based on age, gender, sexual orientation, race, ..... etc.
I have not seen any kilts at work yet, but on my Birthday I wore my black Union Utility type kilt.
Fabulous reactions and my street credibility has shot up.
Shopping in Derby over the last few weeks has been really good.
Cannot understand what the fuss is about with the erstwhile kilt wearers - just go for it and wear what you like. The public just accepts it.
