I'm a native and resident of New York City, though I have lived in both New England and California. I'm of a multi-ethnic background, with a part of my heritage reflected in my screen name here, taken from one of the eight Celtic nations. Though the kilt is not a traditional dress for my branch of the Celtic world, I think it ties into the heritage enough to help me connect with it more. Besides, I'm told I look good in it!! Naturally my first kilt was in the New York City tartan.
